The city government has appreciated the role of school children in making Delhi the greenest Capital in the world. In a function organized on the occasion of Rajiv Gandhi Akshay Urja Divas these children have been appreciated for working as a catalyst force in the success of campaigns like Say No to Crackers, etc.
Addressing the function Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit exhorted children to continue to render their cooperation in environment protection. It is now time to raise voice against use of plastic bags, she said. She also presented prizes to the winners of various competitions.
