Union HRD Minister Kapil Sibal has asked the state to prepare their plans to improve quality of Vice-Chancellors of the University. The HRD Minister has also asked all states today to establish their accreditation agency for the quality education in the college.
In a contrary to his proposed uniform school system in the country the minister talked about decentralization system for accreditation agency for higher education. Inaugurating the conference of Education secretaries of the states in Delhi today the Union HRD Minister said that states should also have an accreditation system for their colleges.
The HRD Minister said that all state governments must prepare a vision document for higher education. This document will contain the state’s vision for higher education till 2020, including the current state of affairs, like the number of universities and colleges, states’ budgetary outlay in this sector etc.
