Agatha Sangma, the youngest minister of the Manmohan Singh’s council of ministers, loves to walk and have interest in photography, reading and writing. The 29 year old Agatha has been included in the ministry on Thursday.
The youngest daughter of former Lok Sabha Speaker Purno A Sangma and MP from Tura Lok Sabha Constituency Agatha has not just done her LLB from Pune but also has done diploma in several fields of law including Cyber Law, Human Rights, Investment & securities law and Corporate Law. She has practiced as a lawyer at Delhi High court too. Apart from LLB she has done her post graduation in Environmental Management. Agatha, who first entered in politics as an MP in the age of 27 year when her father vacated Tura Lok Sabha seat for the state politics. She actually wants to be voice of North-east. According to her the north-east has been neglected for a long time and it needs better representation. She believes that lot of works need to be done in the area and as a minister with rural development portfolio she could better serve people of north-east.
