Several schools of Delhi and NCR areas have changed its timing considering the shivering cold and fog. Parents of various schools have received notices in this regard.
“This is a positive step considering the remarkable dip in the temperature in the area. Children of pre-nursery and primary classes can not afford to go school in the early morning”, said Pratibha, mother of a kid of nursery class.

However, working women have different problem. According to them the decision is good for children but they will have to reschedule their routine accordingly. Schools have changed timings by advancing 30 minutes to one hour to report in the schools.

It is notable that the temperature in Delhi and NCR area has dipped below 3.5 degree Celsius. Intense fog too has increased the intensity of the cold in the area. Though the city government has announced longer vacation for school children this time but students will have to attend their classes till festival of Christmas starts.
Exam fever is on the peak these days. Everywhere student is busy in their studies. Students in schools are putting all efforts to understand equations of mathematics, struggling to understand history and geography, making proper chemistry with science.

Students have received their result of pre-test, but are they ok with it? The common question is raised among the parents and teachers. Perhaps yes sometimes, but for parents do not believe it. Most of the parents have similar complains that despite of giving every facility to their children they have not performed well in the exams.

Why is there “no” in majority? Are the students not dexterous, creative, coping and dynamic to face the phobia of examination? They do. The new generation is very much capable to face all the odds but their vivaciousness is overshadowed by the fascination of the glittering world. Their qualities, skill, capability, creativeness are not utilized properly.

The children of 21st century do not lack potential, caliber, in fact they are enough competent to give tough competition to the rest of the world and move forward. The only thing they are lacking is morale value, discipline, guidance and motivation. In the absence of these basic support system their aim, goal, determination get scattered. They are totally confused to understand the good and bad deeds. According to them every thing is right for them- “All is well”

Under these circumstances his future not very clear. Students of upcoming generation have to overcome with this confusion by imbibing the morale value in them .They has to become more generous to grasp these jewels of life which will help him in the long run of life .It will make them more goal oriented and motivate to become more determined. Now it is hi-time to come out from this confusion or say state of confusion and come forward to face the challenges of life and create their own destiny.

(Prachi Sharma is Pune-based teacher)

According to CBSE the revision has been made on the basis of feedback, received from teachers and students. “Revised textbooks aim at integration of skills in all student books as well as introduction of revised test item types as per CCE scheme”, CBSE Chairman Vineet Joshi said in a letter to all heads of schools and institutions.

The Board has also instructed schools to provide at least two periods in a fortnight for students’ participation in Health and Wellness Clubs, Dramatic Clubs, Eco Clubs, Science Clubs and other related activities as these activities are important for holistic development of child.
