Young generation may take a sigh of relief as the new UPA government under the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will concentrate on the employment generation rather than just development and growth. This has been clearly said by the Prime Minister himself today. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today stressed upon the need for reforms and reverse the slowing down of investment and employment generation caused by global economic slowdown.
After being elected as the leader of the Congress Parliamentary Party paving way for him to become the Prime Minister for the next term, Singh said that there is some slowing down of investment and employment generation. The new government to reverse this. We have to revive growth and make it even more inclusive.

The Congress core group met today to discuss the political situation and issues related to government formation following robust performance of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) in the Lok Sabha elections.
The meeting, was attended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, her political secretary Ahmed Patel and Defence Minister A K Antony amongst others.

The UPA is lacking of a dozen seats to reach the majority mark of 272 in Parliament.
