Representatives of various student organizations including NSUI, ABVP, SFI, AISA and others will meet JNU administration to press on the demand to hold election of the students union (JNUSU) today. No election for students union has been taken place in the university since 2007. The issue was taken before the Supreme Court. The apex court had given permission for elections with certain parameters. But the university administration is still reluctant to hold election in the university. Student outfits have also passed a resolution in this regard and demanding election in the university.
