Missed your name in the first cut-off list in DU! Just wait & watch. The second list and even third cut-off will be there for admission in DU colleges despite all hypes created by some sections on the name of mission-admission.
In an exclusive chat with fachcha.com Prof. S K Vij, Dean of Students Welfare, said that the students need not to be disappointed as second and even third lists will be released considering the vacant seats in several colleges. However, he said that some of the colleges may not go for second list for some of their courses as their seats have already been filled.
He also said that science cut-off will go down considering counseling of various engineering colleges and exams like IITs, AIEEE, IP University and other institutions. A good number of students join such courses. In such a case there would be drop in cut-off the various science subjects, however it would depend on the availability of seats in the colleges, he said. According to him it is a usual trend.
As far as college versus course is concerned he advised to prefer course over the college as it is related to career. According to him if somebody gets admission in the course of his choice in his preferred college he should get admission first as internal migration is a difficult process. But if a student takes admission in new college he should apply for cancellation of admission from the earlier college where he had got admission. In this way he would get his admission fee refund, Prof. Vij added.
