Fashion, fun and fiesta with a dash of knowledge sharing and hobnobbing with renowned artists, fashion designers marked the beginning of two day “ Kreativ 10”, the annual Fashion and Art event by Amity School of Fine Arts (ASFA) and Amity School of Fashion Technology (ASFT).
The event started with a talk show on “ Indian Art in Global Scenario” in which renowned artists Keshav Malik – Art Critic; Suneet Chopra, Art Critic, Mithu Sen- Artist; M. Ramachandran- Regional Secretary, Lalit Kala Academy, Delhi and Rosshni Vadhera- Vadhera Art Gallery presented their views.
Historically, good art always survive and the interesting thing about an artist is nobody can stop him from getting acknowledged in future if his art responds to certain forces, said participants.
The seminar was followed by honoring of the eminent artist, Satish Gujral with Lifetime Achievement Award for Art by Divya Chauhan- Chairperson, Amity School of Fine Arts (ASFA) and Amity School of Fashion Technology (ASFT). Satish Gujral and his wife inaugurated “ SRIJAN”, which is an exhibition and display of the works of graduating students of Amity School of Fine Arts.
Delhi’s Lt. Governor Tejendra Khanna today termed the students of Art as the best mind and genius of the student community. Inaugurating the biggest exhibition of students’ art and painting at College of Art in New Delhi the Lt. Governor appealed students to start journey toward harmony from the disharmonious world though their art and paintings.
Addressing the students and guests Vijay Mohan, Principal, College of Art told about the journey of College from a small department to an institution of international repute. He said that over 2000 art and paintings have been shown in the exhibition. The exhibition will remain open till 19th March.
The biggest annual art exhibition of students will take off on 11th March at College of Art. Over 2000 paintings, sculptures, models and other creations will be exhibited during the 9-day exhibition. Lt. Governor Tejendra Khanna will inaugurate the exhibition at Delhi College of Art.
This is an annual feature of the college and all the students of the college participate in the exhibition, Prof. Vijayamohan, Principal, College of Art told fachcha.com. The exhibition helps to develop talent among students and also provide a platform for students for interaction between students and art lovers in the capital. This is 57 th Annual Art Exhibition of College of Art.
