IGNOU has implemented the scheme of on-demand examination (ODE) for some of the selected courses. The ODE will be conducted usually once a week at the IGNOU’s Regional Centres (RCs) and the student can choose convenient date for appearing in the exam. “Results for the ODE shall be declared within 60 days”, says IGNOU in a release.

The student, will have to register by seeking the online examination form and make payment of examination fee online as per the University rules.
The student will receive the confirmation of the registered Hall ticket online depending upon the availability of space at the RCs for conducting the exam.

However, it will be necessary for a student to pursue the course/programme for the minimum duration prescribed to appear in ODE and submit all assignments prescribed for the course. No student will be permitted to take the walk-in-exam without submitting an undertaking to that effect.

No student can opt for appearing more than once for the same course under the Walk-in –examination and Term End Examination (TEE) for June and December TEE.

The ODE has implemented for more than a dozen courses of the University at Regional Centres Delhi-1, Delhi-2, Jaipur, Karnal, Madurai, Chennai, Cochin, Ranchi, Bhubneshwar, Aizawl, Jabalpur, Koraput,Jammu, Hyderabad and Dehradun. On- Demand exams will allow students to choose the date convenient for them to appear in the TEE.
