Students of government schools in Delhi will get proper attention and weightage for their non-scholastic abilities too apart from their curricular activities. The Directorate of Education, Delhi has decided to include such activities in continuous and comprehensive evaluation (CCE) system.
“This year the Directorate of Education will give due recognition and importance to the non-scholastic abilities of students, by giving these activities appropriate weightage in the Continuous and Current Evaluation (CCE) pattern of assessment for class IX”, said Delhi’s Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.
According to CM efforts are on to make the CCE pattern applicable from Class VI itself, to ensure that learning becomes a joyful experience imparted in a friendly atmosphere, which will lead to all round development of the children.
