Jamia Millia Islamia will pay a musical tribute to the legend of folk music late Bhupen Hazarika in its annual event ‘Music from Borders’. The event is annual feature of the students of North-East. Assam’s famous Bihu dance too will be presented on the occasion.

‘Centre for North East Studies’ organizes the event annually to create awareness about the culture of the NE states. Cultural show from Sikkim, Nagaland and other states too will be presented on the occasion. Najeeb Jung, Vice Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia and Joginder Paul Sharma, Addl. Secretary will be present on the occasion. The programme will conducted at Safdar Hashmi Amphithetre at 5.00 pm.
