Two-day International Conference on ‘New Frontiers in Biofuels’ to discuss various aspects of green fuel has started today at Delhi Technological University, (formerly known as Delhi College of Engineering). Inaugurating the conference Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit emphasized on the use of alternative energy, especially solar energy.
Addressing the conference speakers said that mindless use of fossil fuel has created a crisis like situation in terms of energy for future generation. In such a situation bio-fuel can be a better alternative and India has better potential in this concern.
Prof. P B Sharma, Vice-Chancellor DTU, Chief Secretary Rakesh Mehta and several energy experts from India and other countries, including USA, were present on the occasion.
