DU: Evening, non-campus colleges witness more admissions

Filed Under (Career, Delhi, Institutions) by on 28-06-2010 and tagged , , ,

As admission on the basis of second list started from today in Delhi University the admission seekers have moved to evening colleges and non-campus colleges for the admission. Considering the advice of faculty and seniors that there is not too much scope for drop of marks is in the third list especially in Commerce and Arts, students have avoided to take more chance and taken admission in the available best college for them.

Colleges of South Campus like Deshbandhu, ARSD, Moti Lal, Moti Lal (E), RLA, RLA (E), Kalindi too witnessed good number of students coming for admission. On the other hand teachers and staffs too have come together to help in the admission process and counseling in the second phase of admission. “More teachers have joined this time to support admission process than the first list” said a principal of a college situated at South Campus.

More Wait for Science:

Interesting fact is that while the students are in hurry to get a seat in the Arts and Commerce subjects but the scene is different in Science. Students are waiting to get their turn in the third list for admission in their choice of college. “Counseling of AIEEE is yet to be completed. Counseling of IP University has just begun. In such a situation we hope more drop in the science subjects, especially, in PCM category”, says Subhas Kumar, an admission seeker looking for a seat in Physics or Chemistry in North Campus colleges. Some smart students have already booked their seats in the DU colleges for the time being and waiting their turn for better engineering colleges, they will help students like Subhas, says a senior science teacher of DU.
