The Trans-Yamuna Campus of the Indraprastha University will soon be a reality as the construction of the campus will be started very soon. This has been stated by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Friday during a function at Trans-Yamuna area of Delhi. She also announced various other promises for the area including extension of the proposed monorail project, introduction of small taxi for congested roads and smaller streets.

She said that proposed campus will provide better facility for higher education in the area. It is notable that several colleges of Delhi University and Indraprastha University are already operating in the area. These include colleges like Vivekanad College, B R Ambedkar College, Maharaja Agrsen College, College of Business Studies and others.
