Delhi, one of the oldest and but vibrant city of the world, is the capital of India. Archeological evidences say that history of Delhi is at least 3000 year old. Indraprastha, capital of Pandvas was during the period of Mahabharata, was the oldest known capital in the city. Remains are still there at Old Fort, popularly known as Purana Quila. It has been capital of several dynasties and famous rulers. The city, one of the most populated city of the world having population over 16 million, is full of monuments and forts and distinguish personalities. Noted Arabic poet Amir Khusro, Urdu poet Mirza Ghalib to Nobel Laureate & economist Amartya Sen, noted Kathak Guru Birju Maharaj and several others have been closely associated with the city.
