Ch. Brahm Prakash Ayurvedic Charak Sansthan, Khera Dabur will be develop as an institute of advanced research. The issue has been discussed during the cabinet meeting today.
Briefing the media after the meeting Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said that the government is keen to develop Ch. Brahm Prakash Ayurvedic Charak Sansthan, Khera Dabur as an institute of advanced research in Ayurvedic studies. Over 600 patients are visiting the OPD in the hospital everyday. The hospital also provides 210 bedded indoor services , at present.
The Sansathan also got the permission to start Ayurvedic Medical College from Central Council of Indian Medicine and the Government of India. The College has been affiliated to GGSIP University. The first batch of BAMS course has already started last year. The Cabinet had sanctioned an amount of Rs.102.87 crore for commissioning of entire project. In view of increase in construction of area by 11615 sq. meter, increase in cost index and consultancy fees for consultants the budget estimate has been revised to Rs.152.82 crore. The Cabinet has given its nod to the revised estimate.
